
The lter protects against exposure to undesired light.
If the lter is damaged or broken, do not use the appliance anymore. Contact the Philips
Consumer Care Centre for information.
Note: If the lter breaks or becomes damaged during the guarantee period, contact the Philips Consumer
Care Centre to have the appliance replaced.
The effectiveness of the lamp does not diminish in the course of time.
Do not attempt to replace the lamp if the lamp stops working. Contact the Philips Consumer
Care Centre for information.

The battery compartment of the timer is located in a recess in the back of the appliance.
1 To remove the battery compartment cover, turn it to the left with a screwdriver.
2 Insert a new battery. Make sure the - and the + poles of the new battery point in the right
direction.
Note: We advise you to use a 1.5V alkaline button battery, type LR54.
3 Put the battery compartment cover back onto the appliance and turn it to the right with a
screwdriver.
- Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but
hand it in at an ofcial collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the
environment (Fig. 14).
- Non-rechargeable batteries contain substances that may pollute the environment. Do not throw
away non-rechargeable batteries with the normal household waste, but dispose of them at an
ofcial collection point for batteries. Always remove the non-rechargeable timer battery before
you discard and hand in the appliance at an ofcial collection point (Fig. 15).
